Advocacy

The MSRT represents and serves as the official voice of radiologic technologists, to all public and professional groups within the Commonwealth, on matters concerning the profession in general and in particular, the practice of radiologic technology.  We encourage all Massachusetts technologists to take an active role in advocating for our profession and our patients.

The Department of Public Health (DPH) has posted the comments submitted during the March 26th public hearing on Limited Scope Radiography. These are now available for review.

The next step is for the Radiation Control Program/DPH to review all testimony and determine how they will proceed. The decision on the course of action is entirely at their discretion. They will present their findings to the Public Health Council (PHC) in a follow-up session.

The MSRT will continue to monitor PHC agendas and will notify you when this topic is scheduled for further discussion.

Please share this information with your colleagues and email info@msrt-ma.org with any questions.
