- The MSRT represents and serves as the official voice of radiologic technologists, to all public and professional groups within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, on matters concerning the profession in general and in particular, the practice of radiologic technology.

Membership Categories:
Active members are those who are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent or hold an unrestricted license in medical imaging or radiation therapy under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts statute. They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of membership including the right to vote, hold office and serve as a delegate.
Student members are those who are enrolled in primary medical imaging or radiation therapy programs. They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of Active members. Eligibility for Student membership shall terminate upon initial certification or acquisition of a temporary or full license under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts statute.
Bridge members are those who meet the following qualifications:
have graduated from an accredited program in medical imaging or radiation therapy within 12 months of membership application;
OR are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent and are within 12 months of their initial certification.
They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of Active members.
Quarter Century Club members are active members who have maintained membership in the MSRT for twenty five (25) consecutive years. Quarter Century Club members shall have all the rights, privileges and obligations of Active Members.
Retired members are those who hold a certificate of recognition from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent or who meet Social Security Administration requirements for retirement. They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of Active members except to hold office or serve as a delegate. To apply for Retired Membership, please complete MSRT Retired Member Request Form and email to the MSRT office.
Honorary Life members are those Quarter Century voting members who hold a certificate of recognition from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent or who meet Social Security Administration requirements for retirement. To apply for Honorary Life Membership, please complete a MSRT Lifetime Member Application and email to the MSRT office.
Associate Members are those who are, or have been employed in the technical, educational, managerial or corporate aspects of the medical imaging or radiation therapy professions and do not qualify for Active membership. They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of Active members except the right to vote, hold office or serve as a delegate.
MSRT Annual Membership Fees:
Technologists, QCC and Associate Members $50.00
Bridge Membership $70.00
The Bridge Membership was created for recent graduates of Radiology Programs. This membership bridges the time between graduation, taking the registry & obtaining a job. A two year membership is discounted by 30% for a total of $70.
Students $20.00
Retired $25.00
